Pros

  • This product seems to be of a remarkable quality despite its inexpensive price tag.
  • Accuracy with this device is amazing. As per the user reviews, this sight will hold the zero through hundreds of rounds.
  • Red and green color switching option is available with this product and really comes in hand. You can easily switch between the options depending upon the lighting conditions.
  • This product also features an allen head screw type windage and elevation click adjustments with locking screw.
  • Excellent range of features on this product makes it a great choice for moving targets. Also, rapid-firing won’t be an issue.

Cons

  • This sight is on the heavier end, compared to other pricier options on the market. This isn’t much of an issue, but it’ll depend on the users’ perspective.
  • While there are four different reticle options available, changing them often will cause your groupings to wander. The solution to this is to choose a reticle and stick to that.
  • There have been complaints about the unsteadiness of the product. Although looking at different positive and negative reviews regarding the accuracy of the product and lack of it, the negative reviews were probably based on faulty products shipped by the company.
  • Carelessness in the shipment of the product have been among the major complaints. Customers have complained about their package missing the battery, and there being scratches on the sight right out of the box. Do not hesitate to contact the seller if you’ve been unlucky to receive such packages.

Customer Reviews

This is a good gun sight for the money. I mounted it on an AR15 and it was easy to install and adjust. I only set it to 50 yards just to do some plunking and have fun. The sight has four different styles of reticules you can set and 5 different brightness levels for the red and the green display. It comes with a CR 2032 battery. I used a penny to remove the battery compartment cap and inset the battery. The battery cap fits onto a small cup that holds the battery but the cup body is also the rotating switch to adjust the brightness of the reticle in the sight. When you are removing the battery cap or tightening it down you should make sure that you hold the body of the battery compartment/switch so that it does not spin. A tight battery cap will keep the battery from getting loose.I found the sight easy to adjust and set up. The green reticle worked better in the sunlight for me and the red reticle worked better in the evening. The sight comes with a microfiber cleaning cloth and a rubberized cover for the sight lens. It also comes with two Allen wrenches and the larger wrench is used to mount the sight to your 22 MM Weaver-Picatinny rail. Make sure that you tighten it down tightly to maintain your sight settings. The larger wrench is also used to adjust the elevation and the left and right adjustments for the sight.I do not know how long the CR2032 battery will last so if you are going hunting or just shooting you should take a couple of batteries with you and also remember to turn off the sight. Turning it off is just rotating the brightness knob until the reticle goes out. I found the middle ranges of the reticle brightness to be good for me. If the brightness is set to high then the reticle may be slightly ghosted when targeting something too close.Read more ›

My reason for purchasing this reticle was mainly due to the fact that it had only 2% negative feedback/comments as opposed to an avg of 7-9% on most of the similar products I researched. So, first impressions are: it's light, compact and did not require me to add a riser. This unit zeroed in and worked fairly well. I did notice on a few shots while using the lowest power setting that the unit would turn off after recoil, but would turn on a few shots later, again from recoil. Could've been user error since the battery compartment needed some tightening after my range time. The small paper instruction sheet that comes with the reflex sight claims that this unit will hold zero even after being removed and re-mounted. Not that I really intend to constantly mount/dismount this reticle, but since the claim has been made, I say challenge accepted. I will update this post if I feel that not to be the case. Also, pick one of the four reticle dots to be your favorite and zero with that one particular reticle since the others have about a 1 to 1.25 moa lateral movement. For example, I chose the "dot" as my reticle of choice, which is the far left setting. If I sweep the selector to the far right, which is the circle with cross hair reticle I believe, I experience approx a 1.25moa drift @75 yards to the left from the zeroed dot. The opposite was true when I zeroed to that particular reticle. So, with that said... After 150 rounds down range and this thing being as cheep as it is, I'm satisfied. Again, I will update if I experience any flaws going forward.Good luck.

This seem to be a very good open reflex sight for the price. If you are looking for an affordable, basic sight option, then I would recommend giving this unit a try. This is the fourth or fifth 'under 35 dollar' red or green dot sight I have purchased (yes, I am cheap...), but it is the first open reflex sight I have purchased at this price point. Here's the Good, the not-so-Bad and the somewhat Ugly for your consideration:(1) This sight is simple to install on the rail... it comes with two Allen wrenches, and the larger of the two is made to fit the side-screws that tighten and loosen the sight's attachment to the rail. Loosen, put in place on your rail at your desired position, tighten lightly, check to ensure proper fitment and alignment (wiggle a bit), and then tighten securely.(2) I used a penny to open the cap on top of the reticle-brightness-knob (rheostat), inserted the supplied battery, an tightened the cap back into place. No slippage so far, but this might be the place for future use of blue Loctite Blue (242).(3) Next step was to remove the protective rubber cover from the heads-up display. Once done, since our unit arrived with the rheostat in the off position, I turned it one click to turn on the LED display. Since the iron sights on my rifle were already well zeroed at 100 yards, I decided to zero this reflex sight by lining up its display with those sights. Out of the box, this sight's display was high and right.(4) The larger Allen wrench is also used to zero the sight: the vertical adjustment is on top of the unit, and the horizontal adjustment is on the side. Vertical (elevation) adjustment was very sensitive, each click moving the reticle a good amount such that it took four or five click to adjust to proper level.Read more ›

The Vokul Reflex Sight is one of best products on the market in the price category. It’s remarkable how cheap this product is. You’re going to be lashing out some heavy dough for any other product with similar features.

You’ve got four different reticle patterns and red/green color options to suit the lighting conditions and your personal preference. Overall, the product seems to be of decent quality. Setting this scope is pretty easy, and the product package also includes a set of easily understandable instructions. It is a great value for money.

Comparison

Regardless to say, Vokul isn’t the only manufacturer of reflex sights in the world. While Vokul does stand out for its inexpensive range of products, there are a few others who offer decent products for less money.

Two of the worthy mentions in the category would be VITE Green and Red Dot Sight for 20mm Rail Mount and Dagger Defense DD111 Red Dot Reflex Sight Optic. While we can tell you all about the product and how they are, it all comes down to what you want in your product. Make sure you properly study the features, pros, and cons of each of these products in order to make an informed decision.

Verdict

The tactical reflex sight from Vokul is one product that can prove the general belief that cheaper scopes are merely toys wrong. With seven brightness settings, tubeless open reflex design and four separate reticles, this product is quite amazing. Of course there will be differences when it’s compared with pricier optics on the market. Still, for the price, you’ll hardly find anything better.

VITE Green is another cost effective alternative for you if you’re out on the search for tactical scopes. It features solid metal construction and its base fits 20mm weaver rail mount. It comes with four different reticles, and its parallax is corrected for unlimited eye relief.

This scope is ideal for both short distance shooting and moving targets. It’s pricier than the Vokul product, although offers good value for its price tag. Other features are more or less the same.

Dagger Defense DD111 Red Dot Reflex Sight Optic is another remarkable product on the market that is available for relatively little money. This product has been designed to be easily mounted over standard picatinny rail systems. Constructed of aluminum alloy, this product features four reticle patterns and two color options: red and green. It runs on a CR1620 battery. It’s pricier than the Vokul scope.
